The Horry County Cemetery Project
There are nearly 500 historic cemeteries in Horry County, that's approximately one cemetery for every 2.51 square miles. These sacred sites are our most direct link to our history and our heritage. The homes we live in today, the stores that we shop in, the very beaches we visit during the summer season, all were constructed and developed because of those ancestors who are now buried in these graveyards.
On the following page, use the search features at the upper left portion of your screen to search for a cemetery or individual grave. Your results will appear directly below the search buttons. To zoom to a site, right click on the result and select Zoom To. To see more details about an individual gravesite in a cemetery, use the Identify Tool (found on the upper right of your screen) and click on the grave icon.
