The tasks include, but are not limited to: Firefighting, rescues, operations, emergency first aid, and dealing with hazardous materials incidents. Other tasks involve assisting in fire prevention, fire investigation, and fire education activities. Routine station and equipment maintenance will also be performed. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES See General Statement of Job MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required. Must possess NR-EMT Paramedic or South Carolina certified EMT-Paramedic at time of hire. Personnel must possess a certificate to be good for at least 12 months at time of hire or must show enough training hours for recertification.
