NOTE: This application is being replaced by the GIS Application. The scanned Tax Maps are a historical representation only and are no longer maintained in this format. All maps are maintained in the GIS. The GIS Application with the ability to search by TMS, Owner and Address will have the dimensions added to the maps and will be the location to obtain current tax map information.

Jail Diversion Program to be Implemented at J. Reuben Long Detention Center - J. Reuben Long Detention Center has contracted with Life Recovery Solutions, LLC; the sole respondent to a request for proposal request by Horry County, to operate a jail diversion program. J. Reuben Long Detention Center has encountered overcrowded conditions and has entered a major capital expansion because of increased and continued demand for incarceration services. This program will assist to abate future detention center capital expenditures and expansion. The program is funded through a 2008 United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Block Grant in the amount of $190,000 for the establishment of this pilot program to divert minor homeless offenders from jail to treatment and training programs. Community Development Block Grant Program to Hold Public Meeting - Over the last seven months, the county has established the CDBG office to develop projects and programs specific to the Consolidated Plan of 2008. The plan is a document the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires each entitlement agency to prepare in order to receive HUD’s grant money. The plan was a basic 3-5 year plan that identified local needs in housing and community development and establishes local goals to accomplish by utilizing HUD’s grant funds . . . more
