Horry County and its surrounding areas will receive more than $900 million worth of road construction by 2004. For detailed project information, visit the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Several of the projects are already underway, while many more will begin in the next few months. Overlapping construction schedules may cause some congestion, but the end result will be new roads and a much-improved transportation network.
