Horry County and its surrounding areas will receive more than $900 million worth of road
construction by 2004. For detailed project information, visit the

Carolina Department of Transportation.
Several of the projects are already underway, while many more will begin in the next few
months. Overlapping construction schedules may cause some congestion, but the end result
will be new roads and a much-improved transportation network.

NOTE:
- Hwy 17 Business - There will be lane closures in the outside South Bound lanes from 27th Ave. to 12th Ave. Monday-Friday from 9:00 am. until 4 pm.
- Grissom Parkway - Beginning Wednesday, weather permitting, there will be temporary lane closures for guardrail repair on Grissom Parkway at intersection with US 17 Bypass and various locations on US 17 Bypass.
