Conway Library Hosts Two Adult Summer Reading Programs
- Conway Library presents, "Let's Talk About It: Destruction or Redemption – Images of Romantic Love", a series of five book discussions led by local scholars. Sponsored by the Humanities Council of South Carolina and the Friends of the Conway Library, this series connects interested readers with classic literature, resonant themes, and scholarly interpretation. Employee of the Year Announced
- Horry County recognized Lance Corporal David Hucks, as Horry County’s Employee of the Year. Hucks is a member of the Horry County Police Department and has demonstrated a trait that managers value in their employees, "initiative". When the county moved to the new mobile data terminals for the patrol cars, Hucks took the initiative to not only learn the new system, but he has written the new templates for the county’s radios, which are well over 600 radios. This initiative has saved the Police Department in excess of $100,000 in programming fees that would have been paid to a private contractor for this service . . . more |
