- This week, the Horry County Assessor's Office will mail approximately 25,000 assessment notices to property owners who have transferred property ownership in 2007, based on a state law that was passed last year requiring the county to re-appraise those properties. This state law has been referred to as Assessable Transfer of Interest (ATI) and Point of Sale.
