The North Myrtle Beach Thoroughfare Plan is a joint project between Horry County and the City of North Myrtle Beach. The study area extends from U.S. Highway 17 in the City of North Myrtle Beach, SC, to S.C. Highways 57 and 90; from S.C. Route 22 to Route 9 in the unincorporated areas of Horry County, as well as incorporated portions of the City of North Myrtle Beach including Little River Neck Road.PurposeThe purpose of the project is to analyze the existing transportation network and to identify logical connections that create a roadway network within the proposed study area that will sufficiently handle projected travel demands for build out-year 2035. BenefitsThe benefits provided by effective thoroughfare planning are realized by achieving the following objectives:
SurveyThis survey is being distributed to the general public as part of the North Myrtle Beach Transportation Plan. The information will be used to establish goals and provide additional detail to the Plan.
