Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Animal Care Center (HCACC) will hold a vaccination clinic, 15 August 2017, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the shelter located at 1923 Industrial Park Road in Conway. The following services will be offered:
Dogs and cats are both welcome; dogs must be on a hand-held leash and cats must be in a pet carrier.
The Animal Care Center also holds low cost spay/neuter clinics, which are open to all residents of Horry County. The cost for cats is $50 and dogs are $80 (discounted fees are available for residents receiving government assistance). Contact the HCACC for more information or to make an appointment.
To help homeless animals find loving homes, the HCACC offers discounted adoptions the first Friday and Saturday of each month. The discounted fee typically includes spaying/neutering, vaccines, heartworm or leukemia testing, heartworm and flea preventative, intestinal parasite treatment and microchipping. Qualifying new pet parents also get 30-days free pet health insurance and coupons from local pet businesses.

Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Board of Architectural Review’s Legacy Business Recognition Program will recognize two North Myrtle Beach businesses on July 13, 2017, with ribbon cutting ceremonies. A ceremony will be held at Dew’s Appliances at 10 a.m. and Hoskins Restaurant at 10:30 a.m. The ceremonies are free and open to the public.
Since 1947, Dew's, a family-owned appliance and HVAC business, has been a local tradition in North Myrtle Beach and the surrounding North and South Carolina communities.
Hoskins Restaurant has been a staple in the North Myrtle Beach area for almost 70 years. It was opened in 1948 by Hubert and Leona Hoskins. Today, the restaurant continues to be staffed and run by family members.
The Horry County Legacy Business Recognition Program pays tribute to local businesses that have contributed to the economic heritage of Horry County for more than 50-continuous years. Dew’s Appliances is located at 2203 S. Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach and Hoskins Restaurant is located at 405 Main Street in North Myrtle Beach.
