Enterprise Road Has Closed Again to Through Traffic

Conway, South Carolina – Now that the water has receded on Bay Road, the contractors have closed Enterprise Road again to through traffic. All motorists should use Bay Road.



Horry County Recycling Centers

Conway, South Carolina – Horry County Government does not provide daily curbside pickup, citizens in the unincorporated areas of Horry County should take all flooding related debris to one of the 24 Horry County Solid Waste Authority’s Recycling Service Centers.  A list of locations and hours can be found on their website.  Other suggestions of what you can do include:

  • Stay tuned to local media for information regarding debris cleanup and recycling center hours.
  • If you live within the limits of Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach, Surfside Beach or Conway, please contact them for debris removal information.
  • Call professionals to remove large uprooted trees/limbs.
  • When removing flooding debris yourself, please use proper safety equipment such as heavy gloves, goggles, breathing masks and boots.

Horry County Adds 3rd Additional Shelter

Conway, South Carolina –Horry County has opened a total of three shelters for residents. They are as follows:

  • Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 10595 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, just south of Barefoot Landing.
  • Beach Church, 557 George Bishop Parkway – Please use Harrelson Blvd. to access the church. If you are planning to stay in this shelter, please drive to the back of the church and look for the adventure building and enter at the back door.
  • Conway Recreation Center, located on Mill Pond Road between Hwy. 378 and Hwy. 501.
