Horry County Registration & Election Office to Close for Training

Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Registration & Election Office will close Thursday, March 13, 2014, and Friday, March 14, 2014, for mandatory training. The office will reopen Monday, March 17, 2014, at 8 a.m.

Allegiant Airlines Announces Service to Myrtle Beach

The new routes will expand on the four seasonal routes Allegiant currently serves from Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR): Allentown/Lehigh Valley, Pa. (ABE), Fort Wayne, In. (FWA), Huntington (Tri-State), WV (HTS), and Youngstown, Ohio (YNG). The carrier’s seasonal Myrtle Beach service operates each year from May through mid-August.

General Election Filing to Open March 16, 2014

Conway, South Carolina –Horry County Registration and Elections would like to remind interested candidates that filing will open March 16 at noon through March 30 at noon. The Horry County Registration & Elections Office filing hours are as follows:
  • Weekdays: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Weekends: Closed March 16, 22 and 23. Open March 29 and 30 from 8 a.m. until noon.

The following races must be filed at the Horry County Registration & Elections Office located at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway, SC:
  • State House of Representatives (file in county of residence)
  • County Council Chairman
  • County Council Member (Districts 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11)
  • Probate Judge
  • Board of Education Member (Districts 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 10)
Also registered voters are reminded that the election date for the 2014 Primary Election is Tuesday, June 10, 2014. The last day to register to vote for the Primary Election is Saturday, May 10. The Horry County Registration & Elections Office will be open on Saturday, May 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A citizen who wishes to register to vote may:
  • Register online
  • Requires S.C. Driver's License or Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) ID.
  • The online application will allow you to register at your DMV residence address.
  • If you have moved, you must first update your residence address with DMV. 

Register in person at the Horry County Registration & Elections Office located at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway, or download a form, complete it, and mail it to above address. The completed form can also be faxed to the Horry County Registration & Elections Office at (843) 915-6440 or emailed to Sandy Martin.
