Conway, South Carolina – The Keep Horry County Beautiful Committee announces a volunteer opportunity for people or organizations interested in participating with upcoming litter cleanups and celebrations in our community. Trash bags, gloves, safety vests, and trash grabbers will be provided.
Saturday, April 2, 2016 – Green Our Globe Fest-11 a.m. – 2 p.m.- Join Keep Horry County Beautiful as we raise awareness regarding recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability with the Horry County Solid Waste Authority (SWA). The event will be held at the SWA’s administrative offices located at 1886 Hwy 90 in Conway. Email Victoria Johnson for more information.
Saturday, April 2, 2016 – Sanford D. Cox Park-South Strand Lions Club will clean up litter at the Sanford D. Cox Park in Garden City. Volunteers should meet at the park located on Elizabeth Drive in Garden City. Email Maxine Montague for more information.

Saturday, April 16, 2016 – Earth Day @ The Bay – 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Keep Horry County Beautiful will participate in Ocean Bay Middle School’s annual Earth Day at The Bay event. This event is geared toward youth and helping them learn more about how to protect the environment. Come out to Ocean Bay Middle School for a fun day!

Saturday, April 22, 2016 – Palmetto Pointe Boulevard - 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.- Keep Horry County Beautiful will assist with a cleanup of Palmetto Pointe Boulevard. Volunteers will meet at Palmetto Pointe Apartments on Carnegie Avenue in Myrtle Beach. Safety vests, gloves, garbage bags, and trash grabbers will be available for the cleanup. Conway, South Carolina – The Rosewood Boat Landing, located at 4698 Peachwood Court, will be closed on Monday, April 4, for 90 days to replace the existing ramp. Boaters are encourage to use other boat landings in the area to include the Socastee Yacht Basin, Peachtree Landing or Enterprise Landing. The cost of the ramp replacement is $102,420.
