Horry County Offers Free E-Check Payment Option for Taxpayers

Horry County Government is pleased to announce that taxpayers can now pay property taxes online by e-check with no fees. The e-check payment process uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system to transfer money electronically, requiring customers to use the routing and account numbers from their financial institution to make a payment. Customers using a credit card will still be required to pay a processing fee.

Horry County Treasurer Angie Jones said, “We are excited to offer this service to our citizens. Working together with County Council, Finance, and Administration we are now able to offer this cost-saving payment method to our taxpayers. Our goal has always been and will always be providing services that will benefit our taxpayers. Save yourself a trip or a stamp and make a convenient, fee-free payment from home.”

“Being able to partner and make things happen for our citizens is our highest priority in Horry County Government,” stated Horry County Council Chairman Mark Lazarus. “We will continue efforts to make it easier for residents to do business with Horry County.”

Taxpayers can make an online payment by visiting or by downloading the HCConnect App, available for free on the App Store and Google Play. Customers with questions about their tax bill can call the Treasurer’s Office at (843) 915-5470.
