Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Animal Care Center will hold a vaccination clinic, 18 July 2013, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the animal shelter located at 1923 Industrial Park Road in Conway. The Clinic will offer the following services:

Conway, South Carolina — Horry County Public Works will close Skipper Road (a cut through road that connects Cultra Road to Oak Street in the north Conway section of Horry County) at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, for repairs. Depending on weather conditions, the road is expected to remain closed until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013.

Conway, South Carolina — The Friends of the Conway Library will host local author Beth Pensinger June 26th at 6 p.m. Ms. Pensinger will speak about the journey of writing and independently publishing her first book, Let Me Fall: The Love Story Between God and His Dimwitted Daughter.

Beth Pensinger is the author of four journals and untold scores of sticky-notes. She lives near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her husband, dog, and humanhating chameleon. Conway, South Carolina – Recommendations will be made to County Administrator Chris Eldridge by the Evaluation Committee regarding Request for Proposals (RFP) 2012-13-065 for the Retail Merchandising Unit Program at the Myrtle Beach International Airport. The recommendation will be made on Thursday, June 20, at 2 p.m. in the Administrator’s Conference Room at the Horry County Government and Justice Center, 1301 Second Avenue in Conway.

Conway, South Carolina – Nighttime resurfacing work will be done on Postal Way in the Carolina Forest section of Horry County on Sunday, June 16, through Tuesday, June 18, weather permitting. There will be single lane closures and traffic control between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The section of Postal Way is from 350’ Northwest of Finnegan Court to Carolina Forest Boulevard.
