Keep Horry County Beautiful's New Survey Asks for Input on Plastic Bags

Keep Horry County Beautiful, a subcommittee of the Horry County Parks and Open Space Board has a mission to end litter, reduce waste, and beautify communities. As part of this mission, Keep Horry County Beautiful and their partners have picked-up over 122,000 pounds of litter in 2018! In an effort to shape the future of a litter-free Horry County, Keep Horry County Beautiful and their partners including the Horry County Solid Waste Authority, Grand Strand Surfrider Foundation, CCU’s Sustain Coastal, and the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium has launched a survey on recycling and single-use plastic bags intended to gather input to guide education and outreach.

Anyone interested in taking the survey is invited to access it online at The survey is anticipated to be available for three to six months with an end date in April or May 2020. A link to the survey will be posted on the Keep Horry County Beautiful Facebook page and distributed via email to those who have expressed interest in receiving communication from Keep Horry County Beautiful. The survey may also be shared by our partner organizations and their members.
