Horry County Seeking Public Input on Sandridge Community Park
Horry County, in cooperation with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), is seeking public input to help reduce impacts to the Sandridge Community Park from the RIDE III -- Conway Perimeter Road Phase II (El Bethel Road Extension) project and inform future potential amenities.
The Conway Perimeter Road Phase II project, part of the Ride III Program, will impact the Sandridge Community Park by traversing the southern-most portion of the park. Impacts from the proposed road extension include the basketball courts, playground, and one picnic shelter. Community input is needed to help mitigate these impacts and plan for their replacement with desired amenities. Horry County invites you to participate in the following survey, which will take less than 10-minutes to complete. The survey will be available through April 16, 2021. Paper copies of the survey are available for pick up at the Horry County Planning & Zoning Department in the Horry County Government & Justice Center at 1301 2nd Avenue in Conway.
Horry County is continuing to plan for our future. Your participation in this survey is a great way to provide your input and ensure that the Sandridge Community Park improvements reflect the desires of the community.
Any questions about the survey or future potential park improvements can be directed to Horry County Planning & Zoning Senior Planner, Ashley Cowen, at (843) 915-7894 or by email.
If you wish to receive updates on the progress of park improvements, please complete the survey and include your email address at the end.
Questions regarding the Ride III program can be directed to the Horry County Ride Program Manager Jason Thompson, PE, at (843) 915-5160 or by email.
