Upcoming Road Closures & Construction Updates

Motorists in all road construction areas should use caution, stay alert for crews working in the area, and pay attention to all signs and traffic control devices.

Project Update: Postal Way Extension

Drivers should be alert that on May 31, 2022 the intersection of Postal Way and Oakheart Road will no longer be a four-way stop. Postal Way will have the right of way and Oakheart Road will become a complete stop at the intersection. Please drive cautiously in this area and pay attention to road signs.

Weather permitting, intermittent evening and overnight lane closures are possible at the intersection of Postal Way and Carolina Forest Boulevard near the United States Post Office.

These closures will continue through the remainder of the Postal Way Extension road construction project. The project is a part of the RIDE III Program US Highway 501 Corridor Improvements. The project includes the extension of Postal Way east to Waccamaw Pines Drive with the installation of required intersection improvements and sidewalks.

Partial Road Closure on Industrial Park Road

A portion of Industrial Park Road in Conway, between Harris Shortcut Road and the curved section of Industrial Park Road in front of the Horry County Animal Care Center, will be closed to all traffic except construction traffic.
