Upcoming Public Workshops

Join us on Tuesday, June 28 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. to discuss the innovative Garden City Streetscape Project during our workshop meeting at the Inlet Square Mall.

We want to hear from the people who live, work, and relax in the area to help create your vision for improvements to Waccamaw Drive and Atlantic Avenue in Garden City.

During this meeting, we'll explore how to make these roads into "Complete Streets" by incorporating bike and pedestrian amenities, and streetscaping elements, address traffic operations and safety and improve beach access.

The scope of the current project includes the following improvements:

• Improvements planned for two primary thoroughfares:
  • Waccamaw Drive from Melody Lane to County line: 1.9 miles
  • Atlantic Avenue east of the marsh to Waccamaw Drive: 0.15 miles

The current project budget (all phases) is $46 million with funding provided through local hospitality fee revenue.
