Conway, South Carolina (August 26, 2020)—In anticipation of the increased number of citizens expected to vote absentee, Horry County Voter’s Registration & Elections will set up voting sites at the North Strand Recreation Center, the South Strand Recreation Center and the Carolina Forest Library, October 5, 2020, to November 2, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Voters who prefer to vote absentee in person will enter the facility, complete the provided absentee voting application, and then vote. If voting absentee in person, voters are urged to visit www.scvotes.gov to ensure that their information is correct prior to arrival. If the information has changed or is otherwise incorrect, voters will be directed to the Horry County Registration & Elections office located at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway. Additionally, absentee in person voters will need to have proper identification. Voters are encouraged to be patient as safety protocols may cause the process to be slightly slower.
Voters who were mailed absentee ballots may utilize the drop box to securely drop off their absentee ballots (a drop box is also available at the Voter’s Registration & Elections office in Conway.)

Due to the number of absentee ballots as a result of COVID-19, the short time frame between the primary and runoff, and the difficulties associated with returning a ballot to Conway in midsummer, the Horry County Voters Registration and Elections Office announced that every polling place has been designated as an extension absentee office for tomorrow’s runoff election.
Voters can find their polling place and get a list of all polling places in the county at scvotes.org. For questions, call the Voters Registration and Elections Office at (843) 915-5440.

Conway, South Carolina –Horry County Registration and Elections would like to remind citizens that the General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
The last day to vote absentee in the Horry County Registration and Elections Office is Monday, November 5, 2018. Citizens who are not yet registered to vote may register until Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
Voters are encouraged to review their voter registration information to confirm any changes prior to the upcoming General Election by going to www.scvotes.org under the “Voters” tab on the left. Also, voters unsure of their voting location should contact the Horry County Registration & Elections office at (843) 915-5440 or log onto the State Election Commission website at www.scvotes.org.
Voters can also view a sample ballot.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (registered voters waiting in line at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to vote). When voting in person, you will be asked to show one of the following current photo IDs at your polling place:
Curbside voting is also available for any voter, because of a physical handicap or aged 65 or older who cannot enter the polling place may vote outside of the polling place in their car.

Qualified voters may vote absentee in person or by mail.
In Person - Visit your county voter registration office and cast your ballot. You may vote absentee in person up until 5 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018. (The Horry County Registrations and Elections Office is located at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway.)
By Mail – If you requested an absentee ballot to be mailed to your home, you can either return it by mail or return your absentee ballot to your county voter registration office by 7 p.m. on the day of the election.

Conway, South Carolina –Horry County Registration and Elections will be open Saturday, February 13, 2016, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to allow for absentee voting. The date for the Republican Presidential Preference Primary Election is Saturday, February 20, and the Democrat Presidential Preference Primary Election is Saturday, February 27. To view the list of candidates for these elections, please visit www.scvotes.org.
Voters may participate in only ONE presidential primary. The last day to vote absentee for the Republican Presidential Preference Primary Election is February 19, 2016, and the last day to vote absentee for the Democrat Presidential Preference Primary Election is February, 26, 2016.
The polling place locations for some precincts may be combined with others for the primaries as allowed by law. Polls will open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and registered voters waiting in line at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to vote. The primaries will be held under the rules for providing Photo ID at the polling place. Voters will be asked to provide one of the following Photo IDs at their polling place:
Voters are encouraged to check their voter registration information prior to Election Day. If your voter registration information has changed (name, address, etc.), and you still live within Horry County, go to www.scvotes.org or call Horry County Registration & Election at 843-915-5440 and update your information no later than 12 February 2016.
Unofficial results from Horry County and for all counties in South Carolina, will be posted on www.scvotes.org. The polls will close at 7 p.m. and the results will then be tallied.
