Horry County Community Development Office Closes to the Public October 7- October 9, 2020

The Horry County Community Development Office will be closed to the public Wednesday, October 7, 2020 through Friday, October 9, 2020 while they move their office space. They are temporarily relocating to a facility located at 128 Professional Park Drive in Conway before moving to their new permanent office space in the former Santee Cooper building located on the corner of Second and Elm Street in downtown Conway after the New Year.

The facility located at 1515 Fourth Avenue in Conway, where the Community Development offices were previously located, will now house only the Voters Registration and Elections Offices, allowing that office to expand.

While the Community Development office is closed to the public this week, employees will still be working to facilitate the move. During the office closure, phone service may be limited. If you need to be in touch with the office during that time, please email Courtney Frappaolo at FrappaoloC@horrycounty.org. The offices are scheduled to re-open to the public in their new temporary location on Monday, October 12.

Horry County Facilities Close to the Public Beginning Tomorrow

For the protection of our employees and our community, all Horry County Government offices will be closed to the public beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. This excludes all airports. Limited court functions will continue. All employees will still report to work at their regularly scheduled time.

We strongly urge the public to handle business online where possible. We understand that there are crucial transactions that must take place and are not available online. The public is asked to call those departments directly for information and coordination. Specifically for anyone who needs to file for office, please call 843-915-5440 and make an appointment with Voters Registration & Elections.

County staff remains available by phone and email. Please understand that we are going to be experiencing higher than usual call volumes and there may be delays.

In addition, we have activated the phone bank for questions regarding County specific functions. It will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 843-915-5000.

The County Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020 will be canceled.

We understand that these are trying and difficult times. We ask our community to be patient and to continue to practice good hygiene and social distancing.

Horry County officials are actively monitoring conditions and will make ongoing adjustments as called for.
