**Updated January 14, 2022** All of the Auditor's Office location are now open. They are still experiencing some delays and ask for your patience.
Beginning today, Horry County Government offices will limit capacity inside their facilities due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Horry County. Please avoid visiting Horry County facilities if you are not feeling well.
We currently have 63 positive cases and 53 employees in quarantine while they await test results. A breakdown is provided below. Like many other organizations in our community, our staffing levels are being impacted by the latest surge in the virus and we ask for your patience during this time.
Anyone entering Horry County Government buildings is strongly encouraged to wear a mask while inside facilities. This includes lobbies, waiting areas, customer service counters, etc. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own mask and wear it prior to entering the facilities.
Anyone planning to visit to the Horry County Government and Justice Center should be prepared to check in with staff located in the atrium of the facility. Visitors may be asked to wait in the atrium or outside the facility depending on the capacity of the facility.
We strongly urge the public to handle business online where possible. Many transactions and other requests can be handled online. We understand that there are certain transactions that must take place and are not available online. We encourage people to call departments directly for information and coordination prior to visiting a Horry County Government facility.
Until further notice, the South Strand office for the Auditor is closed and the Treasurer’s Office at this location is drive thru only. The other locations of these offices remain open to the public, but occupancy in the lobbies will be limited. We encourage everyone to do business with us online where possible. This is a very busy season for our tax offices, and our in-person, over the phone, and drive thru traffic volumes are already increased.
The M.L. Brown Public Safety Building, Police Precincts, and Fire Stations will be accepting visitors by appointment and on a space available basis. Please call prior to your visit.
As conditions continue to change, additional changes to service may be necessary. For that reason, we encourage everyone to be in touch with the offices they need by phone prior to visiting our facilities for the latest information.
