Horry County to Conduct Aerial Mosquito Spraying Week of August 16, 2021

Horry County will conduct mosquito spraying starting the week of August 16, 2021. Specific areas identified for spraying will be released at a later date and will also be available on the website.

Aerial spraying will be conducted 30-minutes prior to sunset and 30-minutes after sunset, weather permitting.

The chemicals used for mosquito control spraying are approved by the EPA and pose minimal risk to humans or animals. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory illness may wish to stay indoors and close windows and doors during spraying. In addition, homegrown fruits and vegetables should be washed, scrubbed, and/or peeled before eating.

To help keep our honeybee population safe, beekeepers are urged to contact Horry County Stormwater to identify the location of their colonies. You can submit the location of your hive online here.

In addition, citizens who need to request spraying in the unincorporated areas of Horry County (outside city limits) can contact the Horry County Road & Drainage Hotline at 843-381-8000 or by the online form found on our website.

Extended through January 15, 2021: Conway National Bank Accepting Tax Payments at Drive-Thrus

From the Horry County Treasurer's Office:

Conway National Bank will be accepting tax payments at their drive-thrus through January 15, 2021.

CNB can only accept payments by check, for the exact amount due, and accompanied by the payment stub from the Treasurer’s invoice. Payments by cash or credit card will need to be transacted at the Treasurer’s Offices. Payments submitted to CNB will be on a drop off basis. Receipts will be mailed from the Treasurer’s office once payments are processed. The receipt will reflect the date the payment was dropped off.

´╗┐We ask citizens to use these locations in order to allow Treasurer locations to focus on the issuance of decals for vehicle payments. We are extremely grateful to Conway National Bank for assisting our citizens during this time.
