Horry County Patriot Tree Dedication

Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation, The Aynor-Galivant’s Ferry Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Horry County Historical Society will host a Horry County Patriot Tree dedication ceremony at 11 a.m. on May 8, 2015, at The Aynor Inn (also known as the Hagood House) in Aynor. 

The Horry County Patriot Tree Project pairs historic trees with soldiers from Horry County who served during the Civil War.  Each tree will have a QR code marker with death date, burial place, and other available details of the soldier’s service.  

During the dedication, fifteen trees will be paired with Civil War veterans of Horry County.  Honored at the ceremony will be:

Horry County Patriot Tree Dedication

Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation, the Conway Garden Club Council and the Horry County Historical Society will host a dedication for the Horry County Patriot Tree Project September 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Old Horry County Courthouse located at 1201 Third Avenue in Conway. 

The Horry County Patriot Tree Project pairs live oak trees with soldiers from Horry County who served during the Civil War.  Each one of the trees will have a QR code marker which will direct smart phone users to a website listing the soldier’s name, birth date, birth place, death date, burial place, and other available details of the soldier’s service. 

During the dedication, 23-trees will be paired with Civil War veterans of Horry County.  Honored at the ceremony will be:

Horry County Patriot Tree Project

The Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation, the Horry County Historical Society, and the Ivy Garden Club will host a dedication for the Horry County Patriot Tree Project on Friday, August 8, at 11 a.m. at the Sasser Home located on the corner of Elm Street and 7th Avenue in downtown Conway. Attendees are asked to park at the First Baptist Church of Conway located at 600 Elm Street.

The Horry County Patriot Tree Project pairs live oak trees with soldiers from Horry County who served during the Civil War.  Each one of the trees will have a QR code marker which will direct smart phone users to a website listing the soldier’s name, birth date, birth place, death date, burial place, and other available details of the soldier’s service. 

During the dedication, seven trees will be paired with Civil War veterans of Horry County.  Honored at the ceremony will be:

Horry County Patriot Tree Dedication

Conway, South Carolina – The Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation, the Yaupon Garden Club and the Horry County Historical Society will host a dedication for the Horry County Patriot Tree Project April 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Vereen Memorial Gardens in Little River.

The Horry County Patriot Tree Project pairs live oak trees with soldiers from Horry County who served during the Civil War. Each one of the trees will have a QR code marker which will direct smart phone users to a website listing the soldier’s name, birth date, birth place, death date, burial place, and other available details of the soldier’s service.

During the dedication, eleven trees will be paired with Civil War veterans of Horry County including Samuel Pitman who was killed at the Battle of Antietam. Honored at the ceremony will be:
